Thank you for considering volunteering at Wild Roots Festival. Before you proceed with your application, please take the time to read the terms and conditions of the Volunteer Agreement below.

Terms and Conditions of the Agreement:

1. Volunteer Agreement:

By applying to Volunteer at Wild Roots Festival you are agreeing to abide by our volunteer agreement terms and conditions set out in this document.

Please read the following carefully.

If you do not understand parts of this agreement, or if you have any queries regarding the Wild Roots Terms and Conditions please feel free to contact us at volunteer@wildroots.ie before submitting your application.

Wild Roots will store and manage your personal information securely in accordance with our privacy policy which is available at wildroots.ie/privacy-policy/

Wild Roots will not share your personal information with any third-party organisation without your prior consent.

Wild Roots will ask for some information which may be considered sensitive such as allergies and relevant health and medical information. Providing this is optional.

2. Applications:

Wild Roots cannot guarantee that your application will be successful and has the right to accept or reject your application at our sole discretion. It may take up to 12 weeks to let you know if your application has been successful.

3. Briefing and Induction:

It is compulsory that you attend the volunteer briefing on one of the designated dates and times. Failure to do so will mean that you cannot volunteer at Wild Roots. If you are unable to attend the briefing, please let the Volunteer Manager know in advance.

You will be briefed before every Wild Roots event where you are volunteering and you will be given a full site walkthrough.

You will be assigned a supervisor/manager who will be your main point of contact and who will assign you to a specific area or team, or delegate tasks directly to you.

You will be given clear instructions on all the tasks you are expected to fulfil.

If you have any questions, please ask the management team.

4. Your duty to Wild Roots Festival:

You must comply fully with any rules, terms, policies that Wild Roots present to you at your volunteer briefing.

When working with Wild Roots all volunteers must sign-in at the onsite production office at the beginning of each shift.

All Volunteers must be 18 years or older.

You must present photographic ID on check-in.

You must attend all your agreed shifts as a volunteer.

You must sign in for every shift with your assigned supervisor/manager. If you need to leave early, please raise this with your supervisor/manager.

You may be required to provide a positive Covid test, or take a test at the event.

You must cooperate with the Festival Directors and Managers at all times.

Tasks may vary on a daily basis.

By agreeing to volunteer at Wild Roots it is your duty to complete the said tasks.

You must respect the space that you are working in and any equipment you may be responsible for.

You must wear sensible shoes whilst carrying out activities as a volunteer, i.e no sandals, flip-flops, bare feet etc.

It is your responsibility to inform Wild Roots at the time of your application of any medical conditions that you may have.

If you have should have any issues before, during or after the events, please report it to management immediately.

It is unacceptable to drink alcohol while completing a shift. The use of illegal drugs/substances is not permitted anywhere on site. Anyone found to be drinking alcohol or using illegal drugs/substances during their shift will be dismissed with immediate effect. The person in question will be blacklisted from volunteering at future events at Wild Roots.

You will be expected to pay a fully refundable deposit to the value of a weekend camping ticket price. This deposit will be refunded within 2 weeks of the festival.

5. Wild Roots’ duty to you:

You will be assigned a supervisor/manager who will be your main point of contact and who will assign you to a specific area or team, or delegate tasks directly to you.

You will be briefed on your tasks before you carry them out.

You will have clear information about what is and is not expected of you.

You will receive adequate support and training.

You will be insured to volunteer in a safe environment.

Health and safety is a priority for Wild Roots. Report any health and safety concerns immediately.

Tasks will be assigned on site by the Wild Roots Festival Management team. All tasks must be completed to the best of your ability.

We will provide you with;

One Meal per 6 hour shift (Breakfast and/or Lunch and/or Dinner)

A Wild Roots Volunteer T-Shirt

6. Volunteer Application Withdrawal:

We ask that you please let your point of contact know if you can no longer volunteer at any events.

7. Code of Conduct:

Wild Roots expects all volunteers to adhere to the terms and conditions laid out in this agreement and at the Volunteer Briefing.

Any volunteers in breach of the rules could result in their shift being cut short and may be asked to leave the site. Your role as a volunteer may be terminated and you may become blacklisted from volunteering at future events.

8. Liability:

Please do not bring any personal belongings with you on site. You will be responsible for your own property while at the festival and we take no responsibility for any personal belongings lost/stolen/damaged on-site.
